What makes a website Good or Problematic?
Evaluating Web Designs on Sites that Evaluate Bad Web Design
Evaluating the Good, the Bland, and the Truely Busy Education Sites
Good
Important links appear without needing to scroll. Text is easily readable, both in
size and with background (non-glare & non-squinting). Images are relevant,
mostly clickable (useable), and requires low downloads. When starting out,
simplicity is best, which is true even if you know a lot.
The Bland
Not much relevant content. May not have enough information or direction as to where
to go. Links may not work or be the most important ones. Perhaps too simple?
(If that's possible.)
The Truely Busy
Text and Background, images download and over useage, more than important links or
scattered and difficult to find....
Any of the above will make a site busy.
Using Guidelines for Good Web-building, you
be the judge...
Then share your findings with others on the On-Line Evaluation Form. Afterwords, view what others have said.
