Vocabulary Study - Part II

Take a given term from the list and create a "Learning Billboard" that expresses the meaning of the term.

• Save as HTML a Microsoft Word document as "yourname_term," such as:  john_prepotent.  When saving, make sure all work in kept inside your "vocab" folder.  Create the folder if you do not have one.
• Insert a space, then create a table with three columns and three rows.
• Inside the table insert the following, each in it's own separate cell:
• Name of term and it's part of speech, such as Prepotent - adj  Bold the term and part of speech, and highlight them in a different color than the rest.
• Definition of term, such as Definition:  having exceptional power, authority, or influence.
• Sentence using the term in context.  The word should be understood based on how you use it in the sentence:  The prepotent power of clemency is the governor's.
• Two quotes or excerpts from newspapers or literary magazines that represents the term. You will find a listing of site under resources of the classroom website. For each, include the writer/speaker's name, name of web site, and web address.
• Two images that visually represents the term.

Extra points if you fill in the two remaining boxes with images and/or quotes.  (If not, then 7 cells will be filled.
