  3. Explain and label for each: Big idea, copy a paragraph that uses a quote, copy a paragraph that describes an experience. 

Wednesday

  2. Write rough draft of role model profile. 600 words minimum.  See Details.
    Include 3 personal experiences about you and/or your role model and 4 quotes.
    Due Thursday (tomorrow)

Thursday

    intriguing question
    startling statement
    facts or statistics
    background information
    experience or example
    thesis statement
  3. Revise rough drafts to include the above.

Friday

  2. Mini-Lesson review on body paragraph style and quote use
  3. Revise pieces by Monday See Details.
    -label big idea, main idea, and layered details
    -cut 50 words (no more than 20 in one spot)
    -rephrase 5 sentences
    -add 3 sentences
