Take a talent or skill, that you are knowledgeable
about and create a multimedia (text, images, and/or sound) tutorial. Others should
be able to learn from following the instructions, reading your anecdotes, and reviewing
examples (text and images). Share resources by other people who are in the field of
your expertise that supports and enhances your knowledge. |
Part Two: Gathering Data and querying an Expert
Do an in-depth search by category on the topic, based on information from your
selected books and website bookmarks.
Take notes from three different sites.
- Notes for two of the sites must be a minimum of 3/4 of a page.
- Maintain an email copy of your notes from this part of the project.
- Information is recorded in your own words. Copying and pasting whole
text from sites is not acceptable.
- Include site bibliography: Author name and email, Title, url address,
current time and date. If no means to contact author, information is invalid.
- Also, use Yahoo for additional research

and the links you have bookmarked in the folder 1expertise.

- To use additional search engines, see the teacher first with a list of five key

- Annotated Bibliography
Complete bibliography for all sources. Use proper annotation.

- Permission Letter
Any images or other files taken from a site or book may only be used with written
permission from the source. Email or mail the following letter with your signature
to the source. Send a copy of this letter and the response to the teacher.
Query an online Expert
- Identify an expert from your url sources and construct a query letter asking for
additional information.
- Use standard business format of this ***Sample***
Share what you know and 3 questions whose answers would greatly improve your
knowledge.
- Save draft in the draft folder of your email site. Then email draft to
teacher for review.
- On email approval by the teacher, send letter to the expert. Include
teacher's email in the CC: section and type in the Subject section: Information
Request. Save a copy of letter in the saved drafts folder.
- Forward an email copy of the expert's response to the teacher.
