Take a talent or skill, that you are knowledgeable about and create a multimedia (text, images, and/or sound) tutorial.  Others should be able to learn from following the instructions, reading your anecdotes, and reviewing examples (text and images).  Share resources by other people who are in the field of your expertise that supports and enhances your knowledge.

Notes: File Creation Checklist and Rubric

  1. Book format includes:
    Title page, Table of Content page, four pages of instructions and examples (examples must be descriptive in wording AND visual through images), annotated bibliography
  2. Content pages include:
    Descriptive text, pictures, and web (url) linked addresses
  3. Hyperlinked table of content page to bookmarks on other pages.
  4. Header and Footer
  5. Steps to Accomlish the Expert Study
    1. 1. Enter text into Word document.
    2. Insert breaks to place text in appropriate pages.
    3. Insert images (pictures) into appropriate sections of pages. insert web (URL) addresses as clickable links to info sources.
    4. Insert a page break and paste (or insert) annotated bibliography file at the end of your document.
    5. Insert two breaks at the top of your file. In the first page design your title page. In the second page create your table of content.
    6. Print and revise draft with a peer. Share with someone unfamiliar with your topic and take notes on their feedback on how to clarify and/or add imagery (similies) to make the content better understandable. ALSO, make sure you email sites for permission to use images from their location.
    7. Insert bookmarks at the begining of each page, except for the title page.
    8. Insert Hyperlinks from the table of content to the appropriate section. At the top and bottom left of each page type and create a hyperlink to the table of content page.
    9. Insert into Header (except title page): Name Email Project Title Insert into Footer (except title page): Page Number
    10. Email final draft to your instructor (make sure you save a copy in your email)
    11. Turn in a paper copy for class publication.
  6. Grading Rubric:
    Content and Layout Content
    0 = Incomplete
    1 = Information is vague with one or two: examples, internet links, or pictures.
    2 = Information is mostly relevant with 2 of 3: examples, internet links, or pictures.
    3 = Information is detailed with general: examples, internet links, and pictures.
    4 = Information is detailed with clear: examples, internet links, and pictures that support throughout booklet.

    Layout
    0 = Incomplete
    1 = Layout is confusing. Uses few mediums.
    2 = Layout attempts to support understanding of content. Uses mediums inconsistantly.
    3 = Layout supports understanding of content. Mostly uses multiple mediums.
    4 = Layout enhances understanding of content. Uses well multiple mediums: ex. text, sound, links, pictures.
