I am not really proud of my father because he just sits there and reads while other fathers are out playing with their kids.Today i am proud of my dad because i found out how good of a shot he is and he shot that crazy dog.
I think that my dad atticus is a hero. He saved the whole town from that dog that was mad. He's a pretty good shot. I wish i was a hero like that, saving people and everything. I bet if Boo would have shot the dog his image reversed and wouldn't be the bad guy anymore.
I consider Atticus to be some what of a hero because that dog was deadly (rabis) and now it cant hurt no one. Atticus can shoot really well and when i asked miss maudie bout it she told me that Atticus used to go hunting all the time and that he was a great shooter and he was an awesome hunter- but then she told me that he thought that god gave humans an unfair advantage against animals and thats when he stopped huntin' i dont really see atticus as being imbarrasing anymore but it would be kinda nice if he would acknowlege how good he is at checkers in such.
My dad told me a good quote one day: "It's OK to kill a bluejay, but it's a sin to kill a mockingbird". I think it means that evertyone has goals. You start at the bottom of your goal and work your way up. You start with killing a bluejay, but someday, it wouldn't be a sin to kill a mocking bird, which would be your ultimate goal.
I think that Atticus had every right to tell Jem that he had to go read to Mrs. Dubose. Jem didn't know about Mrs. Duboses' problem, and even if Jem would have known, he probably would have stopped coming. Mrs. Dubose was so mean to Scout and Atticus, and sometimes rude to Jem. They didn't understand why she was so mean, but Atticus told them that she was just getting old and that she couldn't help it, figuring they knew what was wrong with Mrs. Dubose. When Jem found out that Mrs. SDubose died, he went crazy, and blamed everyone for everything
I guesse now that atticus shot that dog he really isn't as imbarrising as I thought. he is sorta like a hero now cuz no one elsse in the town can shoot like he does and saved all of us from the mad dog. Jeb's been being a little wierd about this whole thing again, like his pants when they were sewed and he was all quite for a couple of days till he told me bout it. What I don't understand is why atticus never tells Jem and I about all this stuff he can do like how good he is really at checkers and that he always lets me and Jem win when we play him. If he's suck a good shot than why don't he go hunting no more,Ms. Maudie says it's because he has a greater respect for animalsand he knows that god gave us as humans an unfair advantage over all the defenseless animlas.
I think its really cool that my dad used to be really good at hunting. I hope that one day I can be as good as him. I think that it is very considerate of him to think of the animals, though. I think that he made a good decision not to hurt the little animals, however I do think that that is his decision, and not mine. Maybe one day I will feel the same way as him, but for now, I just like to play with my gun.
Boo is a scary old man. Sometimes I just want to scream. But he helped me when I was lying there and he put that blanket on me. I felt a sense of warmth I'd never felt before. So I know deep down in that craggly, mysterious old heart there is a big loving man. I remember when he put the gifts in the tree and then his crappy brother cemented it up.
everything boo was made out to be is all wrong i've found him to secitive but a person who wants to be accepted but maybe can't?
Why have the adults been telling me all these bad things about Boo Radley? He doesn't seem like a bad person. He even put a blanket around me when I was cold but I didn't notice becasue I was watching the fire. I'm almost positi- ve that he was the one who put those things in the tree and I'm sure he was the one who sowed-up Jem'pants. He seems nice, I feel bad for making fun of him. I should take the time to get to know him.
uncle jack now understands what scout was telling him. scout feels that she is right because she really knows what boo radly is like and the adults really talked to him and didn't know him they just listen to what others say about him and automaticaly think bad of him.
I'm not quite certain what to think about Boo Radley. The adults in this town have branded him as a trouble maker and a bad kid but I think he is simply a missunderstood man. He has been nothing nut nice to Jem and me as long as I remember. He's the one that was giving us all the nice gifts in the tree I think and I'm pretty sure that he was the one who sewed up jem's pants for him so Jem didn't get in trouble. He know if Jem came home with a rip in this pants he'd get in trouble. If the's suposed to be such a horrible person than why is he being so nice to the two of us. maybe he just don't like adults. MAybe he's just lonely i can imagen that sittin in a house all alone all day ever day you could get a little starved for friendship and nathan don't seem to be the best guy to be friends whith niether. maybe jem and i should do summin nice for him so he knows that we wanna be his friends too.
i CAN BEGAN TO beleive that Mr. Boo Radley of all people might a a half way decent guy. I mean people talk-people start to say thing after someone has been stayin' in their house for half their life. But I have reason to beleive that he is ok, because when I fell out of that tire one day and into his yard i heard someone laughing and Mr. Nathan isnt the laughing type. also who sewed up jems pants and when I was out in the cold he covered me, now I dont know about you but I think that someone who eats cats would never do that for a little kid. who leaves gifts for me and jem obviously not mr. Nathan!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I know that Boo Radley is not a bad person like what every one else says. No one really knows Boo because they won't take the time to get to know him. They just keep the idea that he's bad with out any evidence. Boo kept Jem and I warm by putting a blanket around us. I don't se any harm in that.
I don't understand why there are so many rumors about Boo. He's probably a nice person but for some reason no one wants to believe it.I'll admit from what I have heard ,I was scared of him and I still kind of am.I want to meet him.Now, on to Uncle Jack.I don't think that he will ever spank me again without hearing my side first. He learned from me and he also has been keeping my secret and won't tell Atticus about why I got in that fight with Francais.
Today me and jem went over to look at the radly place you know just to peek in the windows and snoop around well a little while in to are our trip nathien radly the guy who filled in the tree hole poped out of his house and started to shooting his shotgun in the air, every body came running out fo their houses to see what was going on and he started yelling the next person i see in my yard i am going to shoot them dead but as we were running jem got his pants caught on the fence and had to take the off and run up there in his draws.
I dont see why all the adults think Boo Radley is such a bad person. He hasn't done anything to them that i know of. He just doesn't like to come out of the house. Boo seems real nice Jem and I because we think he's the on thats been giving us the gifts, and we think he's the one that fixed Jem's pants, and I know he's the one that put a blanket around me during the fire. Nathan is the bad Radley that threatens us or any living thing that steps on his property. The adults just dont see it. But us kids do and We'll show them who is good and who is bad.
I think Boo Radley is a nice man. He leaves gifts in the knot hole, he put the blanket around me when Mrs. Maudies house burnt down and he hemmed Jems pants. Mr. Nathan on the other hand isn't that nice. He put cement in the tree because he said it was dieing. And you were suposed to fill it with cement when it starts dieing. But I asked Atticus and he said that the tree was healthy. I think people have a wrong impression on Boo Radley.
I think boo radley is actually a really nice person and nathan is the bad one.All the adults tell me is that boo is a bad person and to stay away from him. He put a blanket over me in the fire, he sewed up my pants for me and i think he is the one that is putting the gifts in the tree.
I see boo as a very nice guy who would'nt hurt anybody. I can tell by his actions the thigs he does. But our parents keep telling me hes bad, when i no deep down inside he is not bad at all and all he has done is nice things for me and the other kids. Its hard to tell when your parents tell you one thing totally different from what you see and believe.
Right now I think Boo is one of the nicest kids I know.He warmed me up when the house was burning down and it was cold outside. He mended Jems pants together when he riped them then gave them back to him. He placed gifts in the tree hole for us. All the adults heard rumors about him and they have never seen him, threfore they think that he is a bad person.
Boo Radley is a nice man. i dont understand why none of the older people in this town dont see it. When Miss Maudies house burned down, boo put a blanket over me so i woud stay warm and he sewed up jems pants for him. i guess they just dont have it happen to them. Boo is a very shy man and doesnt like people to know about him, he wants to be kept in the dark, or maybe it is Nathan radley who is making him stay unknown.
I don't know why but I see somethin' in Boo that no adult can see. To me he's kinda' like a good friend, even though I neva' see him. He gives me and Jem gifts in the tree-until Nathan cemented it up. I don't know why people think he so cruel, When he not. I just wish he come out and play games with me and Jem. Everyone should know how nice he is.
Boo is not as bad as they say he is. Yes he is still scary to me but he is not bad. He gave us presents and he gave me a blanket. I don't know why the adults say bad things about him. I think that he jus wants to come out and play. All of the adults should take Aticus's advice. They don't know how nice Boo is but they still judge him. They should try to get in to his skin and walk around for a day.
I'm really not sure what to think of Boo. All the adults tell me that Boo is bad, and that he does terrible things. However I believe that Boo put a blanket on me when I was cold, he hemmed up Jem's pants, and was leaving us presents in the knot hole in the tree. I think he is trying to show me and Jem that he is a good person, and that maybe those rumors aren't true. The adults need to stop telling lies about him and take time to see what he is really like. They need to get into his skin and walk around, and see what he is really like, and maybe they could learn something from it.
I think that Boo Radley is a good person. Everytime Atticus sees me or Jem by that house, he always tells us to get away from it. All the adults here think that he's evil and lurks in the night. But honestly, he is a good guy. He gave me a blanket the night that Miss Maudie's house burnt down. He also left Jem and I all this gifts in the knot hole of the tree before Nathan Radley filled it with cement. He hasn't done anything to hurt anyone, so I don't see why almost all of the adults hate him, or believe that he's not real. He is real because he has helped me out, and Jem too. I don't understand why everyone has to act so different around that house....
Why is everyone so mesan to Boo. He is a really nice guy probably if everyone wiould give him a chance. I believe that he is the one doing all these surprise things for us.
